24th December 2014 Hiking - Walking: Les Gets,France Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wednesday 24th December – Christmas Eve –hike ***** Les Gets - sunny We had another lovely morning on the lake and packed up after breakfast and headed over to Les Gets to meet up with Rob. We followed another lovely scenic road and stopped at Taninges to shop for the stuff we will need for tarteflette on Boxing day. Finally found Rob’s chalet after going up and down the road several times because the map they gave us from the landlord was hopeless! He was really pleased to see us and we packed a picnic and went up to the top of his road to go for a walk over towards Morzine. We think it was in the area we walked when the boys were little and we stayed at Morzine in the summer. It was all over the Les Gets Golf course. Lovely walk and great chat. We ate our lunch on a grassy bank in the sun. We even got hot chocolate and a cake from the Milka cow bar:) We got back to the chalet and met the others and did a quiz and some dingbats they did earlier in the week. Hannah and her sister had been to Avoriaz for a ski on icy crappy snow We played games with Rob, Mick and Emma. We had a good laugh and it was a nice evening |
